The best way to see the coast
Boat tour viewing an iceberg off Newfoundland and Labrador

With the rolling movements of the Atlantic waves, you can feel the goosebumps race up your arms from the cool ambience of staggering icebergs. Here, you can cross their paths south down Iceberg Alley, as they make steady progress down the Atlantic Ocean from Greenland.

Rolling waves, rugged caves, singing, dancing and stomping your feet. Catching a glimpse of giant whales as they breach into the air and investigate your vessel. The coastline around our province offers a world full of rugged beauty and natural wonders, which are best viewed by boat.

On warm summer days, friendly and curious humpback, minke, fin, and sperm whales swim and search for food along our coastlines. Pods of these huge creatures are known to surface and play mere metres from tour boats bobbing nearby.

Puffins, eagles, and osprey reside in the many cliffs, crags, inlets and islands around the province’s shores, and on the ocean itself. In spring view millions of rare and common birds flock to our province’s remote offshore islands and headlands in an unimaginable vision of movement and sound.

Whether it’s an hour long excursion or an overnight trip, you’ll shout out the words to our beloved songs and get caught in the energy of our storytellers. You will learn about our culture as you take in the unspoiled beauty of some of Eastern Canada’s most impressive coastal lands - from the majestic fiords, scenic waterfalls, and lush lands of Gros Morne National Park, to abandoned, traditional fishing villages, ecological reserves, and historic shipwreck sites. Let our old fashioned hospitality and our land’s natural magnificence whisk away your worries and immerse you in the warm splendor of Newfoundland and Labrador.
